A break from my break. I needed to say goodbye and good luck to Hector Rondon, who was not tendered a contract yesterday and is no longer a Cub. But Hector will always be remembered as the Rule 5 draft pick who went on to get the save in the first Cubs postseason series clincher at Wrigley Field since – well, since ever. His strike out of Stephen Piscotty in game 4 of the 2015 NLDS against the Cardinals is something Cubs fans will remember forever.
Thank you, Hector. Cubs fans wish you well in the rest of your career.
