Derrek Lee

Derrek Lee being out for two months or more with a fractured wrist is not the end of the Cubs' season. The Cardinals were able to win 100 games last year without Scott Rolen for most the year. The Cubs can win without Derrek Lee for two or three months.

During Spring Training people were saying the Cubs had too many second basemen. Move Todd Walker to first. Then you have two second basemen. And doing that is better than trading away a couple more prospects for a short-term replacement.

The only question is this: Who is going to be our Lloyd McClendon this year?
