One of President Obama’s frequent themes as he pushes for his health care plan is that he wants to be bipartisan; that he wants to work with Republicans – or he at least wants Republican support.
And so, as he goes on a marathon of Sunday new shows tomorrow, being interviewed about his health plan on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and Univision, President Obama has decided to skip Fox News. According to Al Tapper of ABC News, "Democrats said the Fox News Sunday audience is largely entrenched in its opposition to the president, essentially beyond persuasion, and so submitting to an interview might not be the best use of Obama’s time."
Not even a half an hour, huh? That’s nice. Well, maybe the President figures that those bitter people in small towns in Pennsylvania and the Midwest cling to Fox News Sunday, too – as long as they can watch it after church and it’s not during deer season.
Seriously, though, President Obama’s decision to not go on Fox News is a fascinating look into the liberal mindset. It is clearly as closed as it accuses conservatives of being.
