Yesterday the Illinois legislature passed a bill to dramatically increase legalized gambling across Illinois, including a city-owned casino in Chicago. I hope to have some more detailed comments in the next few days, but let me make one comment now.
The Rev. Philip Blackwell of the First United Methodist Church/The Chicago Temple, said, “My person opinion is that if the city can’t rent trucks without corruption, they probably can’t run a casino without it.”
And Rod Blagojevich thought a U.S. Senate seat was “(bleepin’) golden”.
What the hell is going on there. illinois legislature is meant for the betterment of people and they themselves are against it. If this sort of thing will go on increasing then the day not so far when there will be mass corruption.
