A friend texted today that it must be a slow news day when Ronnie Wickers, aka Ronnie Woo, aka Ronnie Woo-Woo, and in particular his disappearance in 1987, was the top sports story. I disagree. Ronnie is a Cubs legend. Other teams have to make up mascots or cheerleaders. Ronnie made himself, and he is better than the rest because he is real.
And so, my Cubs Convention photos today are of Ronnie Woo-Woo, from 1997 and 2013. “Cubs Woo, Cubs Woo”.
